I grew up in Cleveland, OH and attended St. Mark Lutheran School. I then went on to high school at Lutheran West. Finally deciding on teaching as my career, I journeyed to Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI and graduated in 1991. My first teaching job was in Unionville, MI teaching a combined classroom of 5th and 6th. After 2 years there, I married my husband Scott and then we both began teaching in Grand Haven, MI. We were there for 6 years, during which time our children were born: Adam in 1996 and Michael in 1999.
We moved back to the Cleveland area and I returned to teaching here at St. Paul in 2000. I have been the 4th grade teacher for 17 years, also coaching both boys’ and girls’ volleyball, and cheerleading.
I continue to refine my craft with classes and seminars during the summer. However, I also like to relax. I enjoy vacations to Florida and I am never without a good book!
