Academics

We recognize the importance of each child becoming proficient in their basic math facts, develops a love for reading, and is able to express themselves using the written word. The success of the child goes hand in hand with developing a safe environment for learning.

To ensure each child’s success, every student is accepted as an individual and a special child of God. Lessons are differentiated and include all learning styles. A developmentally appropriate environment is promoted in every aspect of the classroom while meeting or exceeding the Ohio Standards. Technology is integrated into
a well-rounded curriculum.

Our Staff

We strive to engage and motivate individual students by addressing each child’s unique interests and abilities by using all modalities of learning. We use technology in our classrooms, such as smart boards, to aid in presenting material. Using different tools for different learners is our goal. We meet and exceed the Ohio Standards creatively and effectively.

Using an inquiry approach, we invite children to actively learn about their world. This constructivist approach lends itself to problem solving, simulations, research experiments, journaling, visualizing, and other student centered and student directed activities. We strive to build an engaged, independent, and organized
Christian learner.

St. Paul Westlake has educators who model spiritual leadership. They study God’s Word, share their personal faith story, apply Law and Gospel appropriately, exhibit a passion for ministry, act courageously, equip God’s people for service, care for others, demonstrate integrity, and pray.

Faith Integration

• Daily study of God’s Word, including the teaching of Biblical Christian morals and ethics.

• Weekly Chapel

• Bible Memorization

• God Fearing and Loving Teachers

• Teaching the forgiveness that is ours in Christ Jesus.
